Harish Gupta was born on 14 July 1999 in Kolkata, West Bengal. He is son of Rekha Shaw and Ram Locahan Shaw. His family also consist of three siblings named Neha Shaw, Ajay Kumar Shaw and Vijay Kumar Shaw. Harish did his early education from Balika Vidya Bhawan and after 8th standard left studied to pursue career in acting industry.

Harish got his breakthrough role in Hindi features film Priti The Dark Shadow of Society in 2021. He played male lead role opposite to Ayushi Chatterjee and Priyadip Nath Zosh. The next year, he was seen in Haunted Factory.
